Eric Christ, CPHIMS
President
Eric Christ has 19 years of leadership experience in marketing and product management with information technology companies. He came to Patient Placement Systems from McKesson Corporation, a Fortune 15 provider of healthcare software and services, where he held several senior management positions including vice president of marketing and product development, vice president of operations, and interim CIO for McKesson’s subsidiary in the United Kingdom. In these positions, Christ provided executive leadership for product management, business development, market research, and marketing communications functions. Prior to McKesson, he was the senior vice president for product delivery at 1stAg Corporation. Christ also spent eight years at Harbinger Corporation, a leading e-commerce software and services provider where he served as senior director of portal solutions. He has an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, where he was a Woodruff Fellow. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Georgetown University. Christ has earned the Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) designation from HIMSS. In 2008, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association for the Support of Long-Term Care. Christ is active in the healthcare and Internet industries as an author and speaker, including presentations for the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, the Data Interchange Standards Association, and the Electronic Messaging Association. He is a member of the Technology Executives Roundtable (TER), the Atlanta CEO Council, and the Technology Association of Georgia.
Doug Walker
Vice President and General Manager
Doug Walker has 18 years of experience in marketing and management of software and technology solutions. He has planned and managed successful launches and major releases for more than 15 technology and software products. Before joining Patient Placement Systems, Walker owned and managed Block & Tackle Marketing, a successful marketing consulting and research company focused on technology businesses. Previously, Walker worked as director of marketing for Trusted Network Technologies, which delivered security software solutions for the healthcare and other industries. His team won both the 2006 Marketing Award for Excellence (MAX Award) and 2006 Technology Association of Georgia TAMY award for marketing excellence. Walker has published several articles in national and regional long-term care publications, and has presented sessions on technology issues at conference hosted by the ACHCA, AHCA and other long-term care organizations. Walker maintains an active role as an associate member of several industry associations, including ACHCA, ACHA, AAHSA, NAHC and several state associations.
Doug Kline, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
As chief financial officer for Jackson Healthcare, Doug Kline coordinates
all financial and accounting operations for Patient Placement Systems and the
other JH companies. He brings to the company more than 30 years of
progressive financial and operations experience from several industries, including
healthcare. Among his professional accomplishments are starting up and developing a
new division for a large construction equipment rental operation and directing
internal audit functions for a $180-million public holding company with
eight operating subsidiaries. A certified public accountant in Florida with
BS and MBA degrees from Florida State University, Kline spent the first
seven years of his career in public accounting with Price Waterhouse.
Michael Hiffa, JD
Vice President of Human Resources
Michael Hiffa brings with him over twenty years of Human Resources experience to his
role of Vice President of Human Resources for all Jackson Healthcare companies.
He has served as a senior member of the executive team for Regency LTAC Hospital
Company and two major financial corporations in the Property and Casualty industry,
with overall HR responsibilities for 10,000 employees nationwide. Hiffa is a Strategic
Human Resources professional with demonstrated accomplishments in building strong
organizational cultures. He was instrumental in developing performance management
systems based on core competencies and leadership concepts in addition to creating
employee retention programs and succession plans at all levels through out his
career. His areas of expertise include employee relations, change management,
coaching, and mentoring. Hiffa is a graduate of Syracuse University and received
his Juris Doctorate degree from John Marshall School of Law.
Dennis Stockwell, JD
General Counsel
As General Counsel, Stockwell is responsible for all legal affairs including general corporate compliance, client and non-client contracting, and intellectual property including patents, and trademarks. Prior to joining Jackson Healthcare, Stockwell served as Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate Sectretary for TurboChef Technologies, Inc, and PracticeWorks, Inc. both publicly traded companies. He previously was a corporate and securities attorney for Kilpatrick & Stockton LLP. Stockwell also served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Stockwell brings a wealth of experience in acquisitions and public and private securities offerings. Stockwell graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelors of Science degree, received his masters degree from University of Rhode Island, and his Juris Doctorate degree from Harvard Law School.
Darren Mackelprang, MSCD, PMC
Director of Development
With over ten years of web and software development experience, Darren Mackleprang
has been instrumental in the development of Patient Placement Systems’ Web-based solutions.
He was also integral in designing, architecting, and developing several other web-based
businesses for Jackson Healthcare including www.locumtenens.com, www.vino.com,
and www.timeviper.com. He was a programmer/analyst for Levi, Ray and Shoupe,
where he was involved in developing numerous web and desktop based applications for
various clients. Mackleprang was the webmaster of the corporate intranet for Emerson
Electric, a Fortune 500 company. He also managed a team that developed over
25 web-based training applications for Banker's Training and Consulting Company.
Mackelprang is the co-author of "Multivariate Statistical Analysis for Managers,"
an interactive educational software product used by the University of Illinois.
He holds a bachelor's degree from Utah State University and completed graduate
studies in multi-media technology at Illinois State University. Mackleprang is a
Microsoft Certified Solution Developer.
